Just a couple of weeks into the National Performer Of The Week polls for cross country, and one athlete has already made a statement.

For the second consecutive week, Sage Wilde (Liberty North, MO) took the crown as the National Boys Performer Of The Week thanks to his US No. 2 14:45.70 performance for 5k to win at the Olathe Twilight meet. A week prior, Wilde won the Tim Nixon Invitational in 14:54.40 to earn the season's first National Performer Of The Week honors.

It's been all Wilde so far in the votes. Who will take home the honors in week three, which featured plenty of notable performances at high-profile meets?

Tyrone Gorze, Crater (OR): Made his season debut at the Woodbridge Classic and came away with a win in 13:42.80 for three miles. Gorze's performance puts him atop the three-mile national rankings and equates to a stellar 192 speed rating.

Patrick Koon, Leon (FL): Won the Southern Showcase with the first sub-15:00 5k race of his career, running 14:43.09 en route to first place. His winning time earned a 190 speed rating and ranks Koon at US No. 3. 

Rocky Hansen, Christ School (NC): Won the adidas XC Challenge with a new 5k PR of 14:45.00, good for US No. 4 and the seventh-best time ever recorded at WakeMed Sports Complex.

Connor Ackley, Hilliard Davidson (OH): Tallied a 196 speed rating -- one of the fastest recorded nationally this season -- with his 14:56.96 5k win at the MSU Spartan Invitational.

Daniel Simmons, American Fork (UT): Clocked a new US No. 1 5k time of 14:31.80 to win the Utah Pre-State XC Meet on Sept. 14, good for a new personal best by almost six seconds and a 188 speed rating.

Tayson Echohawk, Orem (UT): Finished second at the Woodbridge Classic with a US No. 2 three-mile performance of 13:49.30. Echohawk's finish earned him a 190 speed rating as he shaved a full minute off of his previous three-mile PR.
