Analysis: The rising junior had an exceptional 2021 cross country season. In the first 5K of her career, she finished second at the CIF State Cross Country Championships with a best of 16:56.20. Later on she finished third at the Eastbay West Regional meet and 17th at the Eastbay Cross Country Championships.
Williams continued to shine during the spring by winning dual meets in California and invitationals. She finished her sophomore year with new personal bests in the 1,600m and 3,200m with 4:55.41 and 10:24.85.
