WATCH: Wings Track Club Runs Down Ohio Heat In 4x400 Final

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- There's no question, the final race of the AAU Junior Olympics on Saturday was exhilarating.

From the opening 400 meters all the way through legs two, three and four, a cacophony of moves, lead changes and momentum shifted throughout the championship of the boys 17-18yo 4x400.

But when Wings anchor Darius Rainey received the hand-off with one quarter left, the University of Southern California recruit left no doubt.

Slowly but surely, the native Floridian and current Texan hawked down his prey, with Rainey closing first on the anchor of SACs before ultimately turning his attention to the final leg of the Ohio Heat.

In the final straightaway, Rainey breezed past his competitor and secured his club's first 4x400 title in the age bracket since 2017, helping the team clock a winning time of 3:09.52.

The team consisted of Malcolm Washington, Luke Harding, Chris Brinkley and Rainey.
