Just how fast will Xavier Carmichael go at the AAU Junior Olympic Games?
While we won't have a definite answer on that question until August, we are counting on the Virginia athlete to be among the event's leaders once the finals roll around at the end of the week.
The Alexandria Hayfield Secondary School (VA) graduate was spectacular in his final Virginia State Track and Field Championships, winning the 100m to go along with runner-up performances in the 200m and long jump and a third-place finish in the high jump.
At AAU, Carmichael will feature in the 100m, high jump and 4x100m for Spartan Chosen.
