There's no question that the talent from Union Catholic (NJ) redefined the high school hurdles discipline for years to come.

McLaughlin clocked jaw-dropping times in the 300mH and 400mH as a high schooler, setting U.S. records of 38.90 and 53.82 in the two events in 2017. She also wrote her name in the record books in non-hurdle events with times of 36.82 and 51.61 for indoor 300m and 400m all-time national bests.

A trip to the 2016 Rio Olympics racing the 400mH the summer prior to her senior year cemented herself among not just the top prep athletes, but the best hurdlers in the world.

McLaughlin's storied career not only set new standards to beat in the girls hurdles, but proved that some of the world's best track and field athletes are teenagers who haven't even finished high school yet.
