Performance: Morlock had a huge breakthrough in the shot put at the OHSAA Division 3 state meet.
A throw of 65-4.25 - significantly surpassing his previous personal record of 61-4.75 - helped Morlock narrowly edge out his brother Colby Morlock for the shot put state title. His huge PR bumped him up in the national all-class rankings to US No. 16.
His brother Colby may be graduating this year, but those in Ohio will keep hearing the Morlock name called at track meets for the next couple of years as Morlock rises in the ranks of the best throwers in the state and nation.
