Performance: At her first outdoor high school state meet, Sanchious made her name known.
The freshman won her first individual state title last weekend, clocking 11.86 to win the 100m at the VHSL Class 6 State Championships. Sanchious narrowly missed out on a state championship in the 55m by .01 during the indoor season, but earned redemption during outdoor to claim her first state meet win.
She now ranks in the top 10 nationally for wind-legal 100m performances set this season among freshmen girls.
