Maybe we should retitle this to the North American Performer of the Week. Because for the first time in NPOTW history, we had a Canadian win top honors.

And it was absolutely well deserved.

Pickering, Ontario (CAN) native Christopher Morales Williams secured Week 6 honors after his stellar performance at the SPIRE Scholastic Invitational, as the Canadian sprinter clocked a winning time of 48.18 in the 400m and added a third-place outing in the 200m of 21.77.

In doing so, Morales Williams captured 725 votes and a dominant 58-percent of the tallies, assuring himself the NPOTW win.

A big kudos goes out to Christopher on the win, and to the rest of the Week 6 nominees.

We will recognize a winner every week in this poll, with nominations handed out on Monday. The poll will end on Friday and winners will be announced the following Monday.

Winners and gear from the previous National Performer of the Week presented by New Balance series -- dating back to July 12 -- are still being processed. We have kept track of your information and will email you once the New Balance order goes out. Stay tuned!
