5. Middleton (WI) Coach Alexa Richardson
It's not easy to coach an athlete who wins not just one but two cross country state championship titles in one year.
But coach Alexa Richardson of Middleton did that with Lauren Pansegrau.
Due to the pandemic, the state of Wisconsin had its 2020 WIAA Spring Cross Country State Championships in May of the following year. Lansegrau clocked a 17:07.30 to win her first cross country state title at the Blackhawk Golf Course.
Five months later, Pansegrau lined up once again at the WIAA State Cross Country Championships at the Ridges Golf Course and won the second title of her high school career in 17:44.70.
The icing on the cake for Richardson was Middleton winning both the spring and fall girls team titles in Wisconsin. Middleton also finished third at the Team Heartland Regional Championships.
