CIF STATE XC CHAMPIONSHIPS: WATCH LIVE ON MILESPLIT STARTING AT 11:30 A.M. EST

- - -

The final state cross country championship of 2021 is here.

And it is a big one.

The California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Cross Country Championships will mark their return to Woodward Park in Fresno, California, on Saturday with five divisions on the line.

One of the best teams in history, the Newbury Park boys, will look to cement their legacy in CIF Division I as the Panthers go after almost every conceivable record, from team average, to individual record, to lowest points scored, to possibly even best 1-through-5 split.

But that may not only be the program's primary success either, as the Panthers' girls team has a realistic shot of securing both an individual winner (Samantha McDonnell) and maybe even its own team title, too.

In Division II, the incredible season of Dalis Frias will continue with Mira Costa, while the an array of storylines have funneled down to the other divisions as well.

California MileSplit has been printing analysis and previews of the championships all week long. Make sure to check out their stories and coverage below.

MileSplit will have the CIF Cross Country Championships live on Saturday starting at 11:30 a.m. EST.
