The McCallie (TN) School freshman has the second-fastest first-year athlete 5K time in the nation behind fellow Tennessean Keegan Smith.
Bowen recently clocked a 15:22.62 to place sixth at the Jesse Owens Classic on October 6.
Before that, Bowen had other strong finishes, including a fourth-place finish at The Meet in the Middle Invitational and a fourth-place finish at the McCallie Cross Country Inv.
