The Scoop: Records And Big Performances Top The Weekend

At the HOKA FLRunners.com Invitational, Belen Jesuit Preparatory (FL) grabbed the team title while Adam Magoulas led the way.

The action began to happen at the second mile where the top pack became to separate themselves from the rest of the field.

Magoulas began to pull away from the lead pack and continued his undefeated this season. He crossed the finish line in 15:30.71. Chiles' Ben Kirbo finished second in 15:38.76 and Sunlake's Colby Robbins clocked a 15:41.05 for third. 

The top 13 finishers at this meet broke 16 minutes in the race.

All five of Belen Jesuit Preparatory's top runners finished in the top 46 to earn 88 points. 

In the girls race, Layla Haynes of IMG Academy (FL) grabbed the victory in 18:50.85. Dillard's Christiana Coleman came in second when she clocked an 18:56.70 and Kendall Hughes of Newsome finished third in 18:58.30. Hughes paved the way for Newsome to earn the team title with 128 points and a 19:53 average.
