Birmingham Seaholm's (MI) Audrey Dadamio capped off her final regular season with a bang on Saturday.

The senior, who has been on fire in 2021, took home wins in the 800m, 1,600m and 3,200m races at the MHSAA Division 1 State Championships.

The Stanford signee kicked off her winning day with the 800m. This was the closest of her three races, and she didn't necessarily come in as the favorite.

Through the first 400 meters, she sat back and let the field pull her through.

With one lap to go, though, she went to the lead and never looked back. Caledonia's (MI) Lindsey Peters stayed right on her heels all the way to the line.

But in the end, Dadamio ultimately earned the win by posting a new PR and a state-leading mark of 2:11.95. Peters clocked a 2:12.65 to finish second.

Up next the senior took on the 1,600m field, where she went right to the front. At the halfway mark she had opened up a substantial gap on the field, which she continued to build on all the way to the end.

This would become her second win of the day with another PR of 4:44.38. She shaved 0.23 seconds off her previous best of 4:44.61.Placing second in 4:50.71 was Traverse City Central (MI) junior Julia Flynn.

Flynn still holds the fastest time in the state with a 4:41.87  from earlier in the season. All of the top seven girls in the race ran under five minutes.

* The MHSAA Division 1 girls 3200m run.

The final event of the day for Dadamio was the 3,200m.

The senior came into the meet already holding the state record of 10:05.61 at the distance, but she was looking to chase the state meet record of 10:08.07 set by Ann Arbor Pioneer's (MI) Anne Forsyth in 2018.

While the conditions of the day didn't lend themselves to breaking the state meet record, Dadamio was able to come away with her third win, and in doing so capped off her impressive distance triple.

She ran a winning-time of 10:22.11 while Holland West Ottawa's (MI) Arianne Olson placed second in 10:26.04.

Dadamio single-handedly placed Birmingham Seaholm third at the state meet, scoring a total of 30 points from her three first-place finishes.
