Archbishop Carroll High School's (DC) Nyckoles Harbor has been one of the top underclassmen sprinters to emerge in 2021, and this past weekend was no different.

Harbor traveled up from DC to New York to show sprinters in the Empire State how things are done. Harbor won the first prelim heat of the boys 100m dash in 10.56 (-0.3) seconds. No other athletes in the next three prelim heats could beat his performance. With the top prelim time, Harbor was given lane four for the finals.

He had Newburgh Free Academy's (NY) Jean Origene to his inside and Cardinal Hayes High school's Travis Williams to his outside. When the gun went off it was actually Eddy Vu from William Floyd (NY) High School, in lane two who got out the fastest.

Within a few strides though, Harbor had made up the gap and by halfway he had pulled away from the field. He would finish in 10.43 (+0.6) seconds, for the top 100m time of the weekend. It's not a PR for the sophomore who ran  10.38 earlier this year but it continues a string of strong performances.
