Allison Ince Upsets Roisin Willis In Down-To-The-Wire 800

The secret is out of the bag.

Normal Community (IL) High School freshman Allison Ince is a legitimate powerhouse.

The first-year high school athlete from Illinois took down Stevens Point (WI) junior Roisin Willis on Saturday in the elite high school girls section of the 800m at the Distance Night in Palatine, securing a time of 2:04.10. That performance is the No. 3 freshman effort all-time at the distance, and it's the No. 5 fastest time -- Sophia Gorriaran clocked three faster efforts in 2020.

Willis followed in 2:04.44, while Marianne Mihas produced an effort of 2:09.72.
