Athletes to Watch: Avery Lewis (PA), Emma Seetoo, Gianna Locci, Tess Stapleton
Avery Lewis will be returning back to the pit where she leapt to the twelfth-best all-time long jump on the girls national high school list.
At the VA Showcase, she scored an incredible US No. 1 as she won the event with a 20-8 jump. This is the best jump in the country by over six inches. All of Lewis' jumps have been over 19-6.
The Friends' Central (PA) freshman will also be showcasing her speed in the 60m.
Also in the field will be Westfield's (VA) Emma Seetoo, who jumped to a personal best of 19-11.5 at the East Coast Invitational.
Seetoo is coming off a win from the VHSL Region 6D Indoor Championships. US No. 5, Gianna Locci leaped 19-9.5 this season and US No. 6 Tess Stapleton are both jumping for the national championship title.
