The big names will be back for Round 2: Sydney Thorvaldson, Audrey Dadamio Ava Parekh.
The trio are currently US No. 1, No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.
Just behind those three athletes are two other athletes who competed at The VA Showcase and have US top 10 ranked 2-mile times.
Those two athletes are New Jersey's Charlotte Bednar and Pennsylvania's Jenna Mulhern. These two were fifth and sixth at The VA Showcase with times of 10:18.56 and 10:19.83, respectively.
There are several other athletes who have run competitive times and could also be in the mix. They are Alabama's Crawford West (US No. 13 -- 10:41.19 c); New Jersey's Camryn Wennersten (US No. 16 - 10:42.77); Virginia's Ava Gordon (US No. 17 - 10:42.96); and New Jersey' Miranda Lorsbach (US No. 19 - 10:45.52).
Saratoga Spring's Kurto is doubling up, too. Her lifetime best is an indoor 3,000m performance of 9:44.83 from the 2020 NYSPHSAA -NY State Champs.
