MAKAYLA PAIGE, TEWKSBURY MEMORIAL (MA)
The US No. 1 athlete at 600 meters will race both in the 400m and the 600m at the 757 Showdown. Earlier this season, she ran a 1:34.53 in the three-lap race at the MSTCA State Coaches Invitational.
The Tewksbury Memorial (MA) senior has also set a season best time of of 58.55 seconds in the 400m. She hasn't competed at that distance since November, though, and there's no doubt that she gained some strength since then.
It was evident at the VA Showcase when Paige ran a 1:15.06 in the 500m to place second behind Sophia Gorriaran. Paige's personal best in the 600m is 1:29.70, which she set at the MIAA Division 3 Championships in 2020.
