The 2020 DI NCAA XC Championships, which were to be held this November in Stillwater, Oklahoma, have officially been canceled by the NCAA.

NCAA President Mark Emmert announced the cancellation was due to a majority (over 50-percent) of institutions canceling their fall seasons.

As of August 13th, a total of 229 men's teams (72-percent of the field) and 250 women's teams (72-percent of the field) have canceled fall sports. Currently, the AAC, ACC, ASUN, BIG 12, C-USA, MVC, SEC, SUN BELT and service academies have yet to announce a postponement or cancellation of cross country.

While most of the non-power five conferences are expected to join the rest of the conferences in canceling their seasons, there is a chance notable conferences such as the ACC, BIG 12 and SEC continue on with fall sports -- meaning we could have select conference cross country championships this fall.
