Diggs Goes 23.79 To Win 200 At AAU JOs

Talitha Diggs took home the national title at the AAU Junior Olympic Games on Friday in Satellite Beach, Florida. Diggs, a recent graduate of Saucon Valley and University of Florida recruit, won the 200 meters, gapping the field to come away with the victory.

After getting an early challenge to her inside from Chanice Spicer, Diggs kicked it in on the home straightaway and pulled away in the final 50 meters to take the win in 23.79.

That time matches Diggs' top indoor time from this past indoor season. It's also a wind-legal (0.5) personal best outdoors for Diggs, who ran a wind-aided 23.36 to take fourth in the 200 at New Balance Nationals Outdoor last summer (and a wind-aided 23.59 in the prelims at NBNO).

Watch the race above and check out the results of the 200 final, featuring Diggs, below.
