* Sean Dixon-Bodie has decided to join the Louisiana State University Tigers next year

Sean Dixon-Bodie, the Bloomfield (CT) High School senior who became the third-best triple jumper of all-time this indoor season with a mark of 52 feet, 1.75 inches, ended his recruitment on Tuesday, choosing to sign with Louisiana State University.

It marked another big get for LSU and may have stamped in print the country's best recruiting class. Over the course of the National Letter of Intent period, the Tigers have also earned the signature's of some of the nation's top talent, including sprinter Sean Burrell, jumper Jieem Bullock, hurdler Leah Phillips and thrower Monique Hardy, who ranks No. 2 all-time on the weight throw charts.

In November, before the indoor season began, Dixon-Bodie was ranked the No. 44 on MileSplit's Class of 2020 top 50 recruits.

A year prior, the Tigers also signed sprinters Thelma Davies and JUCO product Terrance Laird, who won an SEC Conference title in the 200m and currently has the fastest indoor effort at the distance in the world.

Dixon-Bodie solidifies what was already a very good class into a possible the nation's top signees. Not only did he secure an all-time jump in February at the Millrose Games, but Dixon-Bodie also produced two other marks over 50 feet on the season -- his 51-6.5 mark from the Hispanic Games in January sits among the top 25 marks of all-time as well.

Outdoors, he owns personal records of 50-5 in the triple jump, 22-5 in the long jump and 6-6 in the high jump. He became the second Connecticut athlete in back-to-back years to hit 50 feet in the triple jump, joining Justin Forde, who posted a mark of 51-3 indoors in 2019.

He's also not limited just to the triple jump, where he specializes. Dixon-Bodie captured indoor bests of 22-9.25 in the long jump and cleared 6-6 in the high jump. He also contributed to Bloomfield sprint relays, illustrating his ability to transition from the runway to the track.

Once New Balance Nationals Indoor was cancelled, however, Dixon-Bodie never got the chance to go after the national indoor record of 52-7.5, which was last achieved in 1988 by Keith Holley.
