Oak Park (MI) graduate Cameron Cooper ran a US No. 2 all-time 800m at the 2017 UK High School Invitational on the oversized track at the Nutter Fieldhouse in Lexington, KY.

He later went on to record a true US No. 2 all-time mark at New Balance Nationals Indoor clocking a 1:49.46. His mark from New Balance is now the US No. 3 all-time mark after Downingtown's (PA) Josh Hoey broke Robby Andrews national record (1:49.21) a year later in 1:47.67.
