Caleb Johnson and Mark Boyle, two of Corner Canyon High School's most consistent runners this fall, have committed to Brigham Young University, the pair announced recently.

Both athletes can sign on the dotted line for the Cougars starting on Wednesday.

In recent weeks, Johnson led his team both at the Region 4 Championships and at Utah's Class 6A State Cross Country Championships, leading the program to team titles along with an individual win at regions and a runner-up finish at state.

Johnson posted personal records in all of his events for cross county and track and field in 2019, though he's not done yet.  He, along with his Corner Canyon squad, will be looking once again to lead his team at NXR Southwest, where the team hopes for a podium finish and an automatic bid to Nike Cross Nationals in December.

Johnson will be joining Boyle, who committed to BYU just a week ago. BYU historically has one of the top cross county programs in the country and its already landed three of the state's runners.
