Coaching Clinic by the NJSIAA and NJSCA Set for December


The annual coaches clinic put together by the NJSIAA and NJSCA will once again take place at the John Bennett Athletic Facility "The Bubble" in Toms River, NJ. This year's date is set for December 14th. If you would like to attend the form and event information can be found below.

Speaker Bios Written by the Clinic

Ringo Adamson- Rowan University

Ringo has been the Head Women's Track and Field and Cross Country for the past 13 years;before this he was the head coach at Woodrow Wilson High School. He has coached 58 All-Americans. Ringo is a 2 time Olympian for Jamaica in the marathon. He has been named the NJAC coach of the year 10 times.

Tim Brennan- Peddie School

Tim has been coaching for 27 years. He is USATF Level II certified and is a member of multiple associations. He is an innovative and motivated coach who uses technology to enhance performance. He is a frequently sought after presenter. Tim was fortunate to train with Renaldo Nehemiah and Jack Pierce for an extended period of time.  

Todd Curll- Stockton University

Todd is in his 26th year of coaching, the last 17 as head women's coach at Stockton. He was an all state vaulter in high school who also competed in college. He has a vast knowledge of the sport as a former collegiate decathlete but his specialty is the pole vault. He presents at many clinics. He has coached multiple All Americans and has been named NJAC Coach of the Year 5x. 

Priscilla Fredericks

Priscilla Fredericks is an Olympic High Jumper representing Antigua and Barbuda she won a silver in the Pan American games. Priscilla has coached at Princeton University and she is now the Head Coach at Paul VI High School.

Barry Jackson- Eastern HS

Barry has coached many exceptional athletes on the Club, High School, Collegiate and Open Levels. Several of his Relay teams have run some of the fastest times in state history. Barry is a frequently requested presenter who also mentors several high school coaches as well.

Sean McCafferty- CBA

Sean has coached over 25 individual state champions and 5 team state champions. His teams have won MOC 3x and he had one individual MOC winner in XC. His teams have had unparalleled success on the Regional level as well. His teams qualified for Nike Cross Nationals 3x with two Northeast Champion teams and they made All American twice. 

Mark Mirabelli


Tim Mooney- Ridge HS

Tim has coached for 33 years. He has the unique distinction of winning a Group Championship at the Group 1, Group 2, Group 3 and Group 4 levels, maybe the only NJ coach to ever do so. Coach Mooney's teams are widely considered to be among the Nationally elite middle distance squads each year. His 4 x 800 girls relay ran 8:55 at Penn Relays in 2017. His XC team won the MOC 2x and his 4 x 800 relay won 2 National Championships. He is in the NJ Coaches Hall of Fame. 

Parisi Speed School

Over 650,000 athletes have used Parisi Speed School systems to improve their athletic performance. There are over 100 locations in the US and worldwide.

Dave Pfeifer- Holy Spirit HS

David has been a coach for 50 years, 14 as the head coach of Stockton University, where he coached 3 National Champions, and 19 All-Americans; and 36 years at Holy Spirit High School where he coached 6 High School All-Americans. He is a member of the NJ coaches Hall of Fame.

Rich Refi- Hillsborough HS 

Rich is in his 30th year of coaching, his teams have won XC Meet of Champions 2x and were runner up 4x. They have won 5 Group 4 Championships and have won the National Championship in the DMR and 4 x Mile. 4 different Hillsborough girls qualified for Nike Cross Nationals. He is in the NJ coaches Hall of Fame.

Chris Tafelski- Westfield HS

Chris has been coaching for 16 years. In that time his XC teams have won 7 Sectional Championships, 3 Group 4 Championships and placed top 10 at the Meet of Champions 9 times. They have made appearances at both the Footlocker and Nike National Championships. In track, his distance athletes have medaled 10 times at the Meet of Champions and his 4 x 400 relay won last year's Indoor MOC.
