Dobyns Bennett (TN) High School senior Sasha Neglia, No. 34 on the most recent MileSplit50 Class of 2020 top 50 recruits, announced her commitment to the University of North Carolina on Friday.
Neglia is a two-time Nike Cross Nationals qualifier in cross country, finishing last season as an All-American in 15th place. She owns a best of 17:18.60 for 5K and is a four-time Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association champion across cross country and outdoor track and field.
She owns PRs of 2:15.83 in the 800m, 4:55.23 in the 1,600m and 10:26.87 in the full two mile.
