Grant Holloway Shocks World, Goes 13.10 For Gold!

Grassfield High School and University of Florida graduate Grant Holloway once again had his best race ever at the right time. He is your 2019 IAAF World Champion for the 110m hurdles. He joins fellow 2016 VA athlete, Noah Lyles, as a world champion.

Grant Holloway takes this title with his 13.10 clocking ahead second place who ran 13.15.

Though this was just off of his personal best, this was definitely one of the fastest times possible in the tough conditions in Doha Qatar.

This does follow a trend though where time after time Grant steps up the most when it matters the most.  Even as far back as 2015 that was the case when Grant won his first national title and set the indoor 55m hurdles national record. That was a PR at the biggest moment.

Fast forward to this past year and both indoors and outdoors at NCAA's he found a way to edge his competition and run just that much faster. He finished the year with NCAA records in both events, going 12.98 and 6.50.

Most importantly, Grant was able to run with both his parents, LaTasha and Stan Holloway, at the stadium.
