One of the weekend's best matchups was between Rockford's Ericka Vanderlende and Ann Arbor Pioneer's Zofia Dudek, who went toe-to-toe in both the 1600m and 3200m finals during Michigan's Division I Lower Peninsula State Championships.
It was Vanderlende who stretched out for both wins (4:41/10:24), though not without some tough competition from Dudek (4:45/10:29), who was right on her heels.
