Matthew Boling Nets School Record 10.10w In 100m At Area

The legend of Matthew Boling continues.

While there was no wind-reading available, the Houston Strake Jesuit (TX) senior continued to amaze those in attendance at his Class 6A Area Meet on Thursday at Challenger Columbia Stadium in Webster, Texas, knocking back an incredible 100 meter time of 10.109 seconds.

While not legal, for perspective the time would currently sit at No. 9 in the world rankings this year

School records, however, don't have as many regulations. And with that time on Thursday, Boling officially cut back the school record time at Strake Jesuit.

The University of Georgia recruit had previously run 10.20w, 10.21w and wind-legal readings of 10.22 and 10.28 at the distance earlier this season.

Next up for the sprint star is his team's region meet, and then the Texas UIL State Championships in Austin, Texas, from May 10-11.
