FPC's Curtis Gray Shot and Killed Outside Local Laundromat

Flagler Palm Coast sprinter and Matanzas transfer, Curtis Gray, was shot and killed outside a local Coin Laundry mat on April 13, 2019.

Gray was airlifted to Halifax hospital in Daytona Beach and later died from a gunshot to the stomach, according to Flagler Live

The high school senior was a star on Matanzas football team and transferred in the track season to Flagler Palm Coast where he set a new PR of 12.93m in the triple jump, 53.01 in the 400m and 24.08 in the 200m.

The shooting is being investigated as a homicide and was the first reported in the Flagler area this year, according to the Daytona Beach News Journal

This morning, the Palm Coast community gathers on twitter to mourn and share memories of Gray and the legacy that he lead using the hashtag #LLC (Long Live Curtis)

Coach David Halliday expressed similar pain in a Facebook post where he details how FPC and Matanzas will begin the healing process after losing a piece of their community.

This is a developing story.
