USATF Officially Announces U20 XC Championship Roster


USA Track and Field on Tuesday officially announced its senior and junior teams for the IAAF World and U20 Cross Country Championships on March 30 in Aarhus, Denmark, and three high school athletes are headed internationally to compete. 

Fort Worth Christian's (TX) Carter Cheeseman, Katy Cinco Ranch's (TX) Heidi Nielson and Winona Cotter's Grace Ping (MN) were all announced as member's of Team USA's junior team. 

In 2017, the USA Junior team placed ninth in the boys race and 11th in the girls race.

The junior team will be coached by Katie McGregor and Dave Smith, while the senior team will be led by Melody Fairfield, a former Foot Locker Nationals winner and high school phenom, and Steve Plasencia.
