The 7 Best Individual Girls Seasons Of 2018

7. Tamari Davis

School: Gainesville (FL) -- she's since transferred to Oak Hall (FL)

Why: Much is to be won and accomplished by Davis in the future, but her freshman season set the precedent. She began her high school career by winning titles in the 60m (7.25) and 200m (23.24) at New Balances Nationals Indoor. Then she followed with her first 200m state title in the Class 3A final in Florida, hitting 22.48 seconds--third best all-time at the distance for a high school girl. It was one of three times under 23 seconds on the season and a freshman class record. She also tied an age group world record for 15-year-olds in the 100m, producing a time of 11.13 seconds, another freshman class record.
