Breakdown: Let's start with the big news first. We're going to see Katelyn Tuohy race (pace) again. The defending NXN champion, and our preseason No. 1 on the MileSplit50, will be running for the first time since breaking the American national high school record in the mile at New Balance Nationals Outdoor in 4:33.87. What kind of shape is she in? OK, well let's pump the brakes on that. Tuohy won't use the Red Raider Run as an all-out effort. Instead, North Rockland coach Brian Diglio has said the high school junior will pace the team's No. 2, Haleigh Morales. But beyond Touhy is a bigger story. Just how good is this North Rockland team? Diglio believes the squad has a solid five, but we'll get our first indication of whether the Raiders can maybe make a case for state hardware, or even a national qualification.
