Team: Manlius (FM)
Analysis: This year we might be talking about the boys' team more than the girls as the guys' team returns a strong pack from its second-place showing at NXN. FM will be returning six of its top seven from the runner-up squad. The Hornets will be in the mix to not only make it back to NXN but potentially win the National title. Their biggest challenge throughout the season - as with most teams - is improving their 5K average and closing down their 1-5 split. Based on current team scores they have a 1-5 split of 35.40-second and an average 5K time of just over 16-minutes.

Too early to determine.
Who are your team captains or leaders and what stands out about them as examples for the rest of their teammates?
I look for general leadership skills, respect for their teammates and coaches, selflessness, and a willingness to inspire excellence among teammates.
Who are some new faces who will make an impact on your team this year (i.e. freshmen, transfers, runners who have improved a lot)?
Not many, but really to early to tell.

Their desire to excel, staying healthy while seeking improvement as the season progresses.
What will be the biggest obstacle or challenge facing your team this season?
Not sure how to answer that one, ourselves I guess.

Boys appear selfless, appear driven to fulfill their potential, solid team leadership
What are your top three goals for the team this fall?
Stay healthy, seek improvement, strive for team success over individual success.
