When building a list of rising stars, there are obvious places to start.
But as the fall cross country comes into focus, we're making a point.
We decided not to include some names you have most certainly already heard of: Katelyn Tuohy, Claudia Lane, Kelsey Chmiel and Katelynne Hart. All four athletes finished No. 1, 2, 5 and 3 to in our year-end national rankings.

Those four are no doubt going to dominate their states in 2018--Tuohy and Chmiel will even go toe-to-toe in a few races.
Instead, we wanted to expand our horizons and give some credit to a few more females who are going to have big seasons in 2018. If you're a big cross country fan, you've likely read about many of these names.
