Tying off the indoor season this past weekend, the Hoosier Relays were home to some of the state's top talent inside Indiana University's indoor track facility.
And possibly one of the top highlights from the weekend's round of action was in the boys DMR, where Indianapolis Cathedral (above) rose to the occasion for a US No. 11 effort in the DMR in 10:15.79.
Fast times weren't only limited to the boys, though, as Brownsburg High produced a US No. 14 time of 12:13.20 in the girls section to win their heat as well.
And there were performances that may lead into the outdoor season.
One of the fast-rising juniors of last outdoor season, Zionsville Community (IN) High's Katie Isenbarger, finished popped a US No. 5 jump of 5 feet, 10 inches to win.
And then there was Greencastle High junior Emma Wilson, an All-American at Nike Cross Nationals and state champion in Indiana, who already had logged a US No. 3 time in the 3200m.
She continued that progress in winning a tough race in the 1A-3A division -- during the meet's morning races -- pacing toward the line in 10:32.78, a time that still would have stacked up as a US No. 3 effort just behind her earlier effort.
Meanwhile, in the 4A-6A race, Zionsville's Sophia Riggs fought off Dekalb High senior Tyler Schwartz, winning in a tough battle in 10:46.28. Schwartz was second in 10:49.
