Keller Fossil Ridge's (TX) Sean Hooper was one of the best sprinters in the state of Texas last season. Hooper now runs for Texas Tech University, but in his senior year, he made a big impact on the Texas sprint scene. At the Jesuit-Sheaner Relays, Hooper took home wins in both the 400m dash and 200m dash. In the 200m he ran 21.31 in the finals and 46.42 in the 400m dash finals.
Hooper only progressed from there; he ended his senior season with a 20.94 200m PR and a 45.86 400m PR. He was the Class 6A 200m state champion and the 400m class 5A runner-up behind George Ranch's (TX) Champion Allison. Hooper finished his senior season ranked US No. 4 in the 400m and US No. 17 in the 200m.
