1. Sadie Sargent, North Summit (UT)

The BYU signee won her second straight Utah state title this season (17:31.10), was seventh at NXN (17:57.00), and fifth at NXR Southwest in a career 5K best of 17:19.00. She was also first at Utah Region 16, second at Bob Firman (17:39.20) and ran a PB at 3-miles of 17:17.30 at the BYU Autumn Classic, a race in which she won. 

2. Sarah Schmitt, Naperville North (IL), senior

The Indiana signee had two top-10 finishes at Foot Locker Nationals and NXN, earning eighth-place nods in each. She also set a career PB at 5K in 17:30.60 at Foot Locker Midwest, was fifth at NXR Midwest, and was fourth at the Class 3A championships in Illinois in 16:33.00 at three miles. It was her best performance at Detweiller Park. Schmitt also ran well at Roy Griak, finishing fourth. 

3. Ana Wallace, Chiles (FL), senior

The still unsigned talent had an epic finish to her cross country career, finishing sixth overall at Foot Locker Nationals in 17:48.10. She was third at Foot Locker South and won her first FHSAA Class 3A title on November 4 in 17:43.42. Her breakout race of the season came at Great American, where she was second overall in 17:26.50.  

4. Lauren Ping, Winona Cotter (MN), 7th grade

The best 7th grader in the nation exceeded expectations, finishing 11th at NXN, fourth at NXR Heartland, second in the Class A title race in Minnesota (18:19.70), and second at Section 1A. She ran a PB at Heartland in 17:07.72 and went 17:58.90 at NXN, her final two races of the season and her only two under 18 minutes. 

5. Marlee Starliper, Northern (PA), freshman

Taking a monumental jump as a sophomore, Starliper was an All-American at Foot Locker Nationals, taking 13th, was first at Foot Locker Northeast (17:47.50), first at PIAA Class AA (17:50.00) and first at PIAA District 3 (17:25.00). She set course records at District 3 and at the Carlisle Invitational, posting her first sub-17 minute performance in 16:50.00.

6. Emma Wilson, Greencastle (IN), sophomore

The junior was 14th at NXN, second at NXR Midwest and first at the Indiana state championships, crossing the line in 17:45.90. She hit her career best on September 30 at Western Indiana, punching a win home in 17:29.94. 

7. Emily Covert, Minneapolis Washburn (MN), junior

The junior had her best season so far, winning Roy Griak on Sept. 223 in 18:13.00, was first at Minneapolis City. Conference, first at Section 6AA and first in the Class AA state title race in Minnesota, going 17:30.10. She ran her career best of 16:55.71 at NXR Heartland was third at Foot Locker Midwest. She earned her first national top-10 performance at Foot Locker Nationals, placing ninth.
