Big Early Races From This Year's Indoor Season

1. Semira Killebrew's 7.46 60m Dash

Semira Killebrew from Brebeuf Jesuit Prep High School in Indiana has already run an impressive 7.46 in the 60m dash this year. The junior PR'd by .03 seconds, having a previous best of 7.49 from New Balance Nationals Indoor last year when she won the Emerging Elite Girls 60m Dash Finals

Killebrew's time would have also been U.S. No. 1 at this point in the season last year, beating eventual New Balance Nationals Indoor champion and now Florida State freshman Jayla Kirkland. Kirkland had run a 7.48 to win the Holiday Invitational on December 10, 2016.

At the end of the 2016-2017 season, Killebrew's 7.46 in the 60m dash would have tied Vivette Green of Alexander Georgia's time for U.S. No. 15.

That time is not the only quick race by Killebrew this season. The junior has also already run a 25.04 in the 200m dash at the Circle Logistic Warrior Invitational. That time currently ranks U.S. No 1.
