Auto Qualifiers:
1. Central Valley (Loyal Sons of Ireland), WA, Points 113
2. Kamiakin (Brave Souls), WA, Points 121
Potential Wildcards:
3. Crater (Crater Distance Project), OR, 147 Points
Pros: They were the Oregon 5A boys state champions. In a speed rating merge, they beat all the other classifications in Oregon as well. They placed 2nd at Nike Portland XC Invite behind Eleanor Roosevelt who has a chance at still receiving an auto bid this weekend.
Cons: A lot of whether they get in or not seems to hinge on Eleanor Roosevelt. If Eleanor Roosevelt gets an auto bid then Crater's chances would seem to improve. Eleanor Roosevelt still beat them at the Nike Portland XC Invite. One of their big cons is due to their strength of schedule they haven't raced many out of state teams or top-ranked programs.
4. Bozeman (Bozeman xc), MT, 193 Points
Pros: They were the Montana state champions.
Cons: They lost to Lewis And Clark High School earlier this year at the Mountain West Classic. Lewis And Clark High School placed fifth at NXN Northwest. They placed fourth behind Timpanogos, Springville, and Central Valley Senior High School at the Bob Firman Invitational earlier this year. Springville and Central Valley Senior High School both got auto bids but Timpanogos is currently sitting in third in the Southwest Region.
