The Top Five Women's Recruiting Classes Of The Early Signing Period

Future USC Trojan Lanae-Tava Thomas talks to MileSplit about her performance at the New York state meet in June.

#5: University of Southern California

Recruits: Breanna Bernard-Joseph, Bailey Lear, Lanae-Tava Thomas

The Skinny: "Quality over quantity" seems to be USC's motto for the class of 2018. The Trojans' class is only three athletes strong (for now), but all should make an instant impact on the NCAA scene. Thomas is the top long jumper in the nation and ranked No. 8 on MileSplit's recruiting big board, Bernard-Joseph is California's No. 2 ranked returner in the 100M hurdles, and Lear is a 53.02 400M runner and the reigning Brooks PR champ in that event. Look for the Trojans to continue to add commitments up until the regular signing period begins on April 11.
