Heading into next season, there are numerous rising freshmen in the girls' ranks who are looking to make an impact at not only their respective state levels but also on the national scene.

After examining the MileSplit database, we've compiled a list of 12 impact sprinters, distance stars, and standout throwers to watch in their first year of high school track and field.

The Gainesville (FL) Abraham Lincoln Middle School sprinter is one of the fastest girls in the country, and she is just entering high school.  This incoming freshman would have been ranked fourth in the country with her 11.34 100m and tied for third in the 200m with a 23.21. In 2017, Davis came out on top in a stacked 200m field at the Pre Classic. Her 23.21 was a 14-year-old age group world record.
