Watch Waleed Suliman & Rebecca Story At The Music City Distance Carnival

Synopsis written by FloTrack's Harry Prevor: Link

High School Boys Mile
When: 9:50 PM, Saturday
Why: This race will be a real treat and is set up near perfectly to get as close to the four-minute barrier as possible. A rabbit is set to come through the 1200m mark in 3:00, a rarity in a high school-only race. The man with the best shot may be Douglas Freeman (Va.) High's Waleed Suliman, who ran 4:04.11 in the 1600m in April. But don't sleep on Brentwood (Tn.) High's Brodey Hasty, who ran a ridiculous PR of 8:45.57 at New Balance Nationals Indoor for the full 2 mile -- previous PR was 9:01 3200 -- in March and was the fastest high schooler not named Reed Brown at last week's Festival of Miles. Hasty ran 4:06.81 for the full mile.
