Salute To Seniors: Kristian Mosley (Destrehan)

Did not see much of Destrehan's Kristian Mosley this spring, but can't forget his state runner-up finish last spring in 5A in the 200 meter dash with a 21.29 clocking. We did see Mosley this past indoor season for his senior year when rolled to a 7.04 clocking in the 60 meter dash at LSU High School Classic. He was a state qualifier and finalist in the 200 meter dash from his freshmen to junior year of high school and broke 11 seconds for the 100 meter dash in several meets over the years.

Name: Kristian Mosley

High School: Destrehan

What was your most memorable race/throw/jump/vault/moment?

My most memorable race was probably when I ran my 21.29 20 at LSU. I came in with the third fastest time and I wasn't expecting to have as good of a race like that.

Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four years?

My biggest competition would probably be Anthony Williams of Hahnville and Jandon Briscoe from Jesuit.

        What was your greatest accomplishment?

I feel my greatest accomplishment is when I helped my team win regionals my sophomore year,.It hadn't been done in over 10 years.

If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?

I'd take my younger years more seriously, and train harder than I did.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

The mental part. My senior season was full of trails and tribulations, but somehow I kind of overcame some of them.

What will you miss the most?

I'll miss running at practice with the younger guys who didn't graduate with me.

What advice would you give to younger athletes?

Make good grades and just run fast.

What influence has your coach had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?

My coach taught me not only how to be an amazing runner, but to be an amazing person on and off the track.

        What are your college plans?

Louisiana Tech is the front runner at the moment.

Who would you like to say 'thank you' to?

I'd like to think my coaches, they'd did a lot for me than people on the outside think.
