American Heritage 4x100 Goes Top 25 All-Time 40.17

Plantation American Heritage (Fl.) High is just .17 seconds away from eclipsing the coveted 40-second barrier in the 4x100m relay.

On Saturday, the Patriots ran 40.17 seconds behind the team of Marco Wilson, Tyson Campbell, Miles Jones and Anthony Schwartz to finish tied for the 16th best effort all-time in the event outdoors.

"I knew we would be fast but not that fast," head coach Greg Barnes said. "We were running with an alternate, so overall I'm happy with the result."

Operating nearly flawless in their exchange zones, American Heritage battled neck-and-neck with rival school Miramar before Schwartz, who ran the No. 6 all-time best 100m dash on Friday in 10.15 seconds, claimed the victory at the finish.

Miramar followed in 40.92 seconds. Results can be found here
