Georgia Trio Off to Foot Locker Nationals

This morning, if not mistaken, our fearless trio of Foot Locker National Finalists, left ATL this morning and should be out in sunny California by now, where at 2pm its: Sunny. High 64F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph. A far cry from 42, feels like 35 in Atlanta...

We reached out to each athlete, asking them to blog and send some pics, much like Hayden Tullos of Marietta did on his NXN experience. Nicole Fegans and Anna Marian Block will join an elite 'sorority' of Georgia female runners who have qualified in recent history, including: Lindsay Billings, Emma Grace Hurley (2 time), Savannah Carnahan, Kathryn Foreman and Grace Tinkey (2 time). Jacob McLeod is the first Georgia HS male to qualify since 2012, when Josh Brickell placed 2nd and Brad Hort 6th.

Its difficult to gauge how well they may do at Nationals with different terrain on the fairly challenging Balboa Park course. Georgia's best in recent history were Grace Tinkey placing 6th and Joshua Brickell placing 8th in 2011. Balboa Park
