California State Champion Jurnee Woodward Signs With LSU

Jurnee Woodward of Vacaville, Calif. signed with Louisiana State University this weekend. She owns the fastest 300m hurdle time in the Class of 2017 (40.62) and ranks No. 4 in the 400m hurdles (59.23) and No. 6 in the 100m hurdles (13.52).

Woodward chose the Tigers over Georgia and Oregon.

She is the defending CIF state champion in the 300m hurdles and was runner-up as a sophomore. In 2014, the then-freshman was part of the Vacaville High School quarter that set the national high school record in the shuttle hurdle relay at 57.17. Western Branch High School in Virginia has since rewritten that record to 55.36.

Watch Woodward compete at the 2016 Mt. SAC Relays in the 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles below. She placed second in both events to Brittley Humphrey, who is currently a freshman at LSU.
