No. 6 ranked Cooper Teare of St. Joseph Notre Dame in California announced his verbal commitment to the University of Oregon via Twitter on Sunday afternoon.
Billy talked to him via Periscope for a live interview after the tweet went out.
The senior is a two-time California state champion and owns best times of 8:51.85 for 3200m (#7 in Class of 2017) and 4:06.79 for the mile (#5 in Class of 2017). He most recently won the Mt. SAC XC Invitational D5 Sweepstakes.
