Saucony Flo50 Individual Girls XC Rankings Countdown

Athlete: Cailie Logue
Year: 2017
School: Girard, KS

Analysis: Nine-time Kansas state champion Cailie Logue was one spot off qualifying for NXN as an individual in 2014. In 2015, she upped her game to not only qualify for NXN, but make the podium with a third place finish in Portland.

Logue's All-American run makes her the top returner to this year' edition of NXN. The top finish was no fluke, as she clocked elite times versus virtually no competition during the spring track season. Her most impressive moment came at the Kansas state championship, where she swept the 800m, 1600m and 3200m in state meet record times: 2:13.08, 4:54.44, and 10:31.6. She also won the Nike Festival of Miles in 4:46.89.

Of note: Logue competes in a different classification than fellow Kansas star, Molly Born, who actually clocked quicker times this spring and had a breakout race at the Brooks PR Invitational with a 10:11 two mile. The only time these girls have raced is at the NXN Heartland Regionals, where Logue has always finished well ahead.
