Should More States Contest Unusual Olympic Events At The Prep Level?

You won't find many high schoolers who compete in the race walk. Or the 400m hurdles or hammer throw. 

But these events are all contested at the U.S. Olympic Trials this week, as top athletes compete for the chance to represent Team USA in Rio. 

Should more states contest the race walk, 400m hurdles, hammer throw and other unusual events at the high school level?
