AAU Region 17: Relays Get Hype on Day 4

The boys 15-16 race is where the big boys start to hit the track.  There were eight lanes filled, but they were all chasing the Track Houston A and B teams and The Wings A and B teams.  Those squads all finished in the top four spots with some pretty fast times.

The 4x400 relay is the finale of every track meet and it is supposed to send everyone home with a buzz.  The 17-18-year-old women's definitely did that.  Jacob Sports Academy comes away with a close win over Houston Visions.  Third through eigth place all finished back to back.  Now, thats how you run the 4x400s.

The boys 15-16 race was another entertaining race.  Jacob Sports Academy and
The Wings A and The Wings B were mixed up in a battle for 3 of the 4 legs.  However, in the 4x400, we all know that nothing is ever final until the anchor crosses the line.  The Track Houston anchor leg pulls his team passed the others to finish in a strong 3:19.49.

The last race of the day and the weekend belonged to the 17-18 Men's 4x400.  This race had your usual suspects in it.  The Wings, Track Houston, and Houston Visions went 1,2,3 with all dipping under 3:20.  The Wings pretty much cruised out front most of the race, but watch Visions' anchor Jayson Baldridge come out of nowhere to make this race interesting.
